Our workshop is called IPTV - The Next Generation TV and here is a summary of it, small clarification for the topic that we chose for our event and for you, our dearest participants. We hope you will find it interesting and that you' ll apply.

We all watch TV, right? Have you ever asked yourself how, everything you see, actually comes to your TV screens? In how many ways it can be done and etc.?
Well, if you have, here is a great opportunity for you to get those answers .

IPTV is defined as the secure and reliable delivery to subscribers of entertainment video and related services. These services may include, for example, Live TV, Video On Demand (VOD) and Interactive TV (iTV). These services are delivered across an acces agnostic, packet switched network that employs the IP protocol to transport the audio, video and control signals. In contrast to video over the public Internet, with IPTV deployments, network security and performance are tightly managed to ensure a superior entertainment experience, resulting in a compelling business environment for content providers, advertisers and customers alike.

We also have even more interesting things to tell you about our workshop. First, you will have the chance to see Europe's only salt lake as part of Tuzlas central park which has around 100,000 people visiting its shores every year. Second, we will do all kind of crazy things like rafting, paintball etc. And last but not least Bosnia is famous for its great food and drinks and you will get a lot of that in Tuzla for sure.
Just for you to know, we prepared one hell of a fun week that you don't want to miss, trust us.

Dear EESTECers!
After great success in organizing Trainers Meeting in October 2010, LC Banja Luka is honored to present our next workshop called Let the penguin in!, that will be held from 23.07 – 29.07.2011.

Topic of our workshop is virtualization. You will learn about major problems and development of this framework, implementation, purpose - server consolidation, load balancing, security, types of virtualization and concepts used alongside. Academic part will include interesting lectures from experienced teachers from the field and hands-on labs on GNU/Linux distribution – Debian.

This week will be incredibly exciting because of three things:

1. International Debian Conference – this year DebCon11 will be held in Banja Luka. We will use this opportunity to introduce you to Debian distribution and go to Debian Day. There you will listen to experts from this field. You can find more about this conference on http://www.debconf.org/

2. This will be the most exciting week in Banja Luka because 4th Demofest festival is going to be held at the same time! Demofest is festival and competition of young demo bands from all over the Balkan. This year 438 bands applied and only 30 will get the chance to compete. Also, you will listen to Tricky’s, Kelis’ and Skindread’s concerts (type of music: rock, metal, punk, reggae).

3. Our workshop J As always we promise you a lot of great food and crazy parties. We won’t miss the chance to take you to best RAFTING in the world, on one of the world’s best rivers for this kind of sport (there were European Championship 2005, Euro Cup 2007, World Championship 2009 in Banja Luka).

There will be many more interesting things that you feel only when you are part of this event. Come and feel the beauty of summer in the city on Vrbas!

LC Tampere is organising a workshop called Plone Sauna Sprint 2011. If you are already familiar with Plone and Content Management Systems and want to become a Plone guru or want to learn finally how to use Plone in an enthusiastic environment, this workshop is for you.
Workshop is organised in Tampere and in cottage near Tampere. First you will hear some intrucing lectures about Plone. During the week you will finally get your hands dirty coding and develop features in it. You can also feel the real Finnish cottage life with sauna and lakes. You will get a mobile broadband connection to the cottage so you can code even outside and enjoy the Finnish summer at it's best :) No need for sleep, since the sun is shining 22 hours a day!
