Subject: [CP] [EVENT] LC Munich "Shape the engineering future" - 7th to 15th May 2011
To: cp@eestec.net

Dear CP's,

Please forward this to all your members.

Our EU grant application is still pending, so all EESTECers from LCs that
didn't send us part3 documents are also encouraged to apply.
The application form will soon be available on eestec.net!
Both events will take place, regardless of the outcome of the EU grant.
As for our applicants, we take your priority lists and motivational letters
into account when selecting participants.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Here are the two workshops:

LC Munich

Workshop: Dr. med. Nano

Dates: 7th May - 15th May

Deadline: 8th of April.

Number of participants: at least 15

Email: cp@eestec-munich.de

Application available at: eestec.net

We are happy to announce our Dr. med. Nano workshop.

This workshop will cover some interesting points about the interaction between
nano technology and medical engineering. There will be lectures, about both
topics as well as a hands-on lab on the development of nanosensors on a
bimolecular basis during which you'll learn how to build your own sensor.

We'll be cooperating with two departments in our university, so the lectures
will be held by our professors.

Of course you will also see the great city of Munich, experience the Bavarian
way of life and Bavarian hospitality. Also be prepared for Munich's nightlife
and some unforgettable parties.

The workshop will conclude with the International Motivation Weekend. This
event will be held at a house in Austria (near Salzburg) with a great view.
Here you'll be participating in soft-skill training and, of course, more
partying.

It'll be a great week... so don't hesitate to apply!

LC Munich

Workshop: "WiE - Women in Engineering"

Date: 7th May - 15th May

Deadline: 8th of April.

Number of participants: at least 15 (just for women :-))

Number of participants:at least 15

Contact email: cp@eestec-munich.de

Application on: eestec.net

After the great success last year's WiE, we are proud to announce that we and
our Gender Studies department (Gender Zentrum) are working together to make it
happen again this year.

The academic part of the workshop will cover the same topics as last year
(difficulties and barriers for women in engineering jobs, women's networks as
well as job- and life-planning), but these topics will be approached from a
different angle this year, so, even if you participated last year, it might be
worth it to apply again.

Furthermore, there will be a women's contact forum during which you'll have
the opportunity to interact and exchange experiences with other women working
in engineering jobs.

Apart from the lectures, we'll of course be showing you the city of Munich,
it's nightlife and cultural aspects.

The workshop will conclude with the International Motivation Weekend. This
event will be held at a house in Austria (near Salzburg) with a great view.
Here you'll be participating in soft-skill training and, of course, some
unforgettable parties.

We're looking forward to your application

Important: Only women may apply!

Cheers,
--
