Dear people of EESTEC from all over Europe,

EESTEC LC Craiova is proudly announcing its first workshop. As we have strong bonds with the local student organizations from the Faculty of Automation, Computers and Electronics (OSACE) and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Electromechanics (OSPPEC), this will be a joint event, organized in collaboration with the above mentioned organizations. EESTEC LC Craiova is always looking for new members and this is a good possibility for the students in these technical faculties to get a glimpse of what EESTEC spirit is all about. In order for that to happen, we are welcoming around 15 participants in Craiova between 11th and 17th of April at the event called “The Days of Technical Students”, organized for the 3rd time in Craiova, but for the 1st time with international participation. Apart from the 15 participants from different LCs in Europe, we are also expecting around 15 students from other Romanian Technical Universities. Apart from the technical stuff (paper presentations, technical visits, etc.) there will also be lots of fun with 3 disco nights in 3 different famous student clubs in Craiova, wine and beer tasting visits (for the EESTEC spirit to go on…) and a one night surprise trip at the end.

The deadline for you to reply to our call is Sunday, the 2nd of April. All the participants at our workshop will have to give a paper presentation, the subject being at the free choice of the student from his/her area of engineering specialization (come on, people…….it’s not hard….just present some small project you found interesting during your student experience. If it is too hard for you to present a small project, I guess a few pages presentation on your lab in your department will do just fine in the end….). Also before the deadline, along with your personal data you have to submit an abstract of your paper (around 150 words) which will be published in the agenda of the workshop.

The schedule and other details of the workshop will be soon presented on our website (I will shortly give you the link to our new website which is under development these days).
