Dear EESTECers,
* *Only for CPs: I will kindly ask all of you, after an event, to send me or Marija (vc-ia@eestec.net mailto:vc-ia@eestec.net) short summary about the event (exchange, workshop, or local event), with 3 pictures. The summaries should fit the Newsletter, so please have that in mind (write around 5 sentences). In the subject of the e-mail include "[EESTEC Newsletter] event summary". The deadline for the reports is 27^th of the month (if there are events that will end after this date, those events will be published next month). I will also send every 26^th of the month a reminder e-mail to the CPs that need to write the reports. Please do not include smilies like :) and ;(, we won't put those in the articles.
Please all of you reply to me about the Newsletter, and also ask for an opinion from the members of your LCs.

*Past Events*
*Jahorina Winter Exchange *The fourth, traditional, "Jahorina Winter Exchange 2008" took place from 10th to 17th of January 2008. We hosted 17 participants from all over Europe and provided them 4 days of skiing on our Olympic beauty Jahorina. We took them for a tour at our faculty and associated facilities (hydro plant Bogatici, electrical station Ivanici). Visiting Sarajevo city and Orlovaca cave were also included in the schedule. Nights were, as usual, reserved for crazy EESTEC parties, every night in a different place.

*Local Events*
*New Year in Ljubljana*
Another New Year's eve, yet craziest of them all. First, we experienced the magic of ancient Greek parties (dress code: Toga) and none the less, we entered in new year in P.I.M.P. style. Lot's of fun, new friendships, experiences and a massive hangover the next day.

You want to learn how to program multipurposal CPU's? You want to learn how to design digital controllers? Then you have to get some information about FPGA's (Field Programmable Gate Array). It means there will be lots of practice and a factory tour as well. Do you think we will stop at nights? No no no! We will give you a chance to feel the atmosphere with 100.000 students in the city, to smoke Nargile (Water Pipe), enjoying Hamam(Turkish Bath) and tasting delicious Turkish meals.

These topics are very important nowadays and we wish to take advantage of our University's leadership in both fields. What about night-part? I think most of you know one week in Madrid has AT LEAST seven nights full of party and enjoyment. And for those who don't know yet: what are you waiting for coming here and discover by yourself?

We are imitating real life: the problem is tough, effective teamwork is a must and the deadline is close! The contest is open for everyone, the chance is given for you as well.
