Dear gardeners and co-gardeners,
First signs of spring are visible now, and as you'll probably start gardening soon, here are things to know about the garden facilities, and the lock code to the toolshed.
You should have received your invoice now, Please check your spam and let us know if you have not received it. Attached are the general rules. We kindly ask you to go through it.
*Water* As night temperatures are now above 0, the water taps have been opened by ACRE (Aalto University Campus & Real Estate).
*Composts:* In the garden we sort separately all plant materials for composting. Please use the trash cans for any plastic materials and other not-plant-parts! The composts have a schema for what compost is used each year, and what compost is 'brewing' - we have not yet updated the signs for this year, so please ask if you have any questions where to put stuff! - You can use soil from the old composts to fertilize your plot - we will put a sign which compost is ready for this - Dead plants can be put in the compost where you find other dead plants - Invasive species and sick plants should only be thrown away in the blue barrels.
*Toolshed* The toolshed has common tools and resources for everyone to share. Please note the guidelines for how to use the toolshed: - Please keep the shed neat and in order, return the tools to their places neatly! - Make sure to lock the door when you leave. The lock code is 1942 - we ask to share it only with your co-gardeners :)

*Next association meeting and talkoot/get-together* Welcome to Otaniemen kaupunkiviljely-yhdistys ry (Otaniemi Urban Gardening Association) rule based spring meeting on *Wednesday 26.4.2023 at 18* at Teknologföreningen meeting room at Otakaari 22, 02150 Espoo.
We'll also soon have a talkoot/get-together where we come to the garden and get our plots ready for the season. Advices, tools, and neighbourly help will be available, and we can heat the grills too. Also a very good spot for swapping saplings.
