Sailing with the Tall Ships Races in July
JOIN THE TALL SHIPS RACES & BE PART OF A INTERNATIONAL CREW
If you are not older then 25 years you can be part of a International Youth Exchange on sea going sailing vessels; Tall Ships.
Each year 3000 young people from all over the world join the Tall Ships Races during summer holidays. In 2009 the Tall Ships will race against each other in the Baltic Sea from Gdynia (PL) to St Petersburg (RU), Turku (FI) and Klaipeda (LI).
You can be part of the crew sailing the ships!
Young people can join funded International Exchanges organized on the Tall Ships during the races. What will you do? You will be part of the crew, so climb the rig, steer the ship and be the look-out! You will be on board with an international crew, so meet new friends from all over world
After the races you will have time to discover the new shores and join the Crew Parade Price Giving Ceremony and the Party, organized by Sail Training International. Here it is that you will meet the crews of the other ships!
The exchanges are funded by the Tall Ships Youth Trust. Young people between 15 and 25 years of age (from all over the world) will be funded to join the exchange. The prices are therefore not EURO 1260 but between EURO 575 and 625 instead.
Morgenster Aboard the 49 metres long two-mast vessel the Morgenster you can join in Youth in Action At Sea, an exchange programme for 36 youngsters from eight different nationalities. You sail together with young people from Finland, Lithuania, Greece, Sweden,The Netherlands, Italy, France and the Czech Republic. This exchange has been accepted within the Tall Ships? Races in close collaboration with Sail Training Associations of the participating countries. The passionate crew strives for a fast finish, so you?d better roll up your sleeves. You start with the second part of the Cruise in Company before you start Race 2. In Turku you have plenty of time to visit the town, other vessels and make international friends for life.
Sponsorship This trip is sponsored by the European organisations ?Youth in Action? and ?Tall Ships Youth Trust.? Therefore we can offer you a reduced price of ? 595 instead of ? 900. This includes full board and excludes transportation from and to the ports and drinks at the bar. In addition, 70% of transportation is being paid for, so you only have to pay 30% of this amount.

Tälle reissulle mukaan kaivataan kokenutta purjehtijaa, joka kaipaa uudenlaisia haasteita ja kokemuksia; aikaisempi kokemus Tall Ships? Racesista ja erilaisista aluksista on välttämätön. Mikäli olet jo kokeneempi purjehtija, lähde mukaan Gdyniasta Pietariin 4-13.7.2009 360 euron hintaan!
