Monthly report-November

Dear EESTECers,

As cold arrive outside, we hope that inside your heart remains warm, full of EESTEC spirit! Plus this is the perfect period to travel around and see all the nice European cities in a cheerful atmosphere! During November, there were plenty of tasks to be completed and definitely it was one of the busiest months for International Board. Firstly, we finalised the EU Grant application and after a lot of work, we can claim that this year’s application is so thoroughly thought and checked that we are confident about the results. Additionally, the last preparations for ECM were also one important thing that we were occupied with and we as we promised in the previous report, this ECM is going to be amazing and now being in Eskisehir, we confirm that all the preparations are going great. One of the most important projects of EESTEC the last few years has been finalised and launched during this month! This is Lykeion portal, a place where students, universities and companies can reach each other. The implementation of this project started from previous Board (thanks for your work :) ) after several years of brainstorming and discussions on its content. The result wouldn’t have been so great without the huge contribution of Nedim Hadzic, Lykeion project coordinator in Chairman Department, and whole Lykeion Team. Chairman - Grigoris Chrysos:

- Conducted operational work of the Board - Facilitated 1 OBOM - Prepared content and structure of ECM BOM - Was in contact with TrT, all BA’s - Had online meeting with TrT for T4T preparation - Attended online meeting with trainers delivering sessions in T4T - Was in communication with COC’s - Signed the MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with EUROAVIA for the following 3 years - Was in contact with Oracle for collaboration - Online meeting with Senior Director of Oracle Education Initiatives - Was in contact with oDesk for Lykeion portal - Was in contact with SIEMENS for possible collaboration (with Lykeion) - Progress made in Chairman Department: - ECM preparations: - prepared new versions of ECM guide - facilitated the discussions in ECM list - prepared the groups for working sessions - facilitated preparations of ECM working sessions and tools for them - Lykeion: - tested the site - portal was officially launched - prepared welcome messages and info about the portal - prepared promotional posters - introduced functionality of exporting CV’s - conducted brainstorming about additional promotional techniques - Promo Video: - prepared alpha version of the video - feedback from the team - worked on beta version of the video - Competition: - prepared helpful guide for LC’s with instructions about the guide - defined the date and topics available for the competition - designed logo of the competition - was in contact with LC’s that will organise competition - ESS: - presentation prepared for explaining the project

Treasurer - Catalina Stoica:

- Submitted EU Grant; - Handled cooperation with Contact Singapore, StudentEvents.com, Petrus Communications; - Signed contract with Direct Students; - Signed contract with University of Belgrade; - Had a meeting with Infineon and Total.com for cooperation; - In contact with ECM - FR responsible regarding EduDay; - Work in the treasurer department: - FR Team: - live meetings with FR responsible; - updated FR tool; - new design for cooperation offer; - Send call for FR strategy ideas to all BAs for the FR Session in ECM; - In contact with Grant Team coordinator;

VC-EA - J. Fernando Sánchez Rada:

- Promoted EESTEC in social networks - Prepared ECM Sessions - Other Associations - Preparation of Memorandum of Understanding with EUROAVIA - Observers - Invited Observers to ECM - Added two new observers: Nantes (France) and Gdansk (Poland). Welcome!! - had a meeting with Observer Nantes - had a meeting with Observer Gdansk - Expansion - Contacted several universities

VC-IA - Merve Salihoğlu:

- Contacted CPs, BAs and (J)LC Board members - Managed appearing problems in (J)LCs - Contacted (J)LCs which had/have events about preparations, RoP, event evaluation - Guided new CPs - Updated board changes, new boards' and CP's contact data - Administrated CP and (J)LCs’ mailing lists and created new ones - Newsletter Team - Published November Issue - Discussed improvement of Newsletter issues: New sections added - Paparazzi Team - Have collected photos for Photo Contest’11 and internal use - Photo Contest’11 is finalized and best pictures are selected in ECM - Feedback Form Collectors - Reminded and delivered feedback form to (J)LCs - Collected and summarized the feedback forms of the events happened - Promoters Team - Created/promoted FB events of workshops/exhanges in our international page - CP Handover - Contacted new elected CPs, gived the basic info, materials offering assistance - Checked/corrected event calls in eestec.net - Prepared and sent Local Activities Form in CPlist - Android Competition - All LCs are contacted to inform and motivate their members to join

VC-PA- Mihai Chirita:

- was in contact with Magazine Team Coordinator regarding last preparations for the next Magazine issue - recruited two new designers for EESTEC International Design Team - Worked on PR Guide - Established the content of PR Policy - Prepared organizational culture target topics
