Hi, If you have any interest in geotechnical engineering or related fields, you are more than welcome to join us on Thursday for a picnic trip to Suomenlinna fortress island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Finland's most popular tourist attractions!
We'll have a short introduction to the seafront renovation project and then we'll have time to just mingle and enjoy the evening on the beautiful island. Snacks and drinks will be available. The ferry to the island leaves from Kauppatori, Helsinki at 4:20 pm and 4:40 pm and takes only 15 minutes. The event is free of charge, but take some money for drinks.
We are organizing the event together with RIL (the Finnish Association of Civil Engineers) and SGY (the Finnish Geotechnical Society, a member of ISSMGE). For more info about the event, c/t me at +358 40 557 3797.
