We’re sure that all of you wonder how to fly a plane? How can a pilot keep
all of the aeronautical units in the cockpit under control? As we
EESTEC’ers, planes are very important for us and you have a chance to know
everything about them thanks to our great workshop “Above us only sky!” which
will take place in Ankara between 4.12.2010 and 12.12.2010.
The main topic of workshop is "Avionics" which is a combination of the words
"aviation" and "electronics". As you may know, especially with the
development of unmanned aerial vehicle, avionics has become a very popular
topic nowadays.
During the workshop, you'll have comprehensive knowledge about avionics by
taking lectures regarding subtopics which are navigation, unmanned aerial
vehicle, control, avionics history and development, and every other detail
you need to know. Trainings will be given by professors and their assistants
in Aerospace Engineering Department of Middle East Technical University
which is one of the best technical university in Turkey and trainers of
TAI(Turkish Aerospace Industries) which is the biggest company in Turkey in
aerospace industry. You'll not only have lectures, but also visit production
line in the factory of TAI, laboratories of Aerospace Engineering Department
of Middle East Technical University, and aeronautic museums. In addition,
you'll have an opportunity to see a simulation of how unmanned aerial
vehicle works.
Now let’s move on to the fun part! We guarantee the enjoying part will be
awesome as much as the academic part. You will have a great chance to get

Raki <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rak%C4%B1>" and the most important one
“Turkish Hospitality”. Accommodation will be in the guest house of Turkish
Aeronautics Association; that is, you're gonna stay with quite many planes.
Every night we’ll enjoy with the non-stop and crazy parties with different
themes such as masquerade party, aeronautics party where guys can be pilot
and girls can be hostess for one night! But it's for sure; we'll not forget
to have some EESTEC event traditions like sightseeing, international night
